This Privacy Policy explains how Sugrly ("Sugrly", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Sugrly mobile application (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.
The data controller responsible for your information is Digital Nutrition Ltd, operating as Sugrly. Contact: sugrly.app@outlook.com
Information you provide:
Information collected automatically:
Camera and photos: When you scan food, images are processed to estimate sugar content. Images are used only to provide the scanning feature and are not used for advertising.
Apple Health (HealthKit): If you choose to connect Apple Health, the App may read and/or write nutrition-related data (such as sugar intake) to help you track your nutrition in one place. You can disconnect at any time in the App or in your device settings. Health data accessed through HealthKit is never used for advertising, never sold, and never shared with third parties for marketing.
Purchases: Subscription purchases are processed by Apple. We receive confirmation of your subscription status but never receive or store your full payment card details.
We use your information to provide and operate the App and its features; personalise your experience and insights; process and manage your subscription; send reminders and notifications you have enabled; maintain, secure, and improve the App; and comply with legal obligations.
Where the UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies, we process your data on these legal bases: performance of a contract (to provide the App), your consent (e.g. Apple Health access, notifications), our legitimate interests (to improve and secure the App), and compliance with legal obligations. You may withdraw consent at any time.
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers who help us operate the App, including Apple (app distribution, subscriptions), RevenueCat (subscription management), and Supabase (secure data storage and backend services, including AI-based food analysis); and with legal and safety recipients where required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security. These providers process data on our behalf under agreements requiring appropriate safeguards.
Your information may be processed in countries outside the UK/EU. Where it is, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App, then delete or anonymise it, unless a longer period is required by law.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any right, or to delete your account and associated data, contact sugrly.app@outlook.com. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office, ico.org.uk).
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Sugrly is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
Sugrly is a food awareness and tracking tool. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and its estimates may not be accurate. Always consult a qualified professional for health decisions.
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date, and where required we will seek your consent.
